SPCK are an award-winning publisher who produce a steady stream of high quality titles that vary in complexity. One of their more complicated books, Jesus the Priest, was a particular challenge. The title includes hundreds of footnotes throughout, with block quotes, tables, several different heading types, three different indexes and an extensive bibliography.
The manuscript came to us heavily marked up. Before we could begin to run the text into page we spent several days working through the corrections and preparing the file. After hours of editing and checking we could finally flow the text into page and begin the process of making the book up.
Making up the ebook was a complicated and time-consuming task. With so many references and notes linked to sections throughout the text our staff had to be very careful that every cross reference was in place and led to the correct location in the text.
