Sophie-Alice has a form of Type 1 Diabetes where she has no awareness of her blood sugars dropping or rising. Her dog Scooby is Hypo Hounds trained to detect both of these and raise the alarm so Sophie can receive the medication she needs.
Jane came to us with the idea of creating a short picture book, similar in size and feel to the Mr Men books, that would tell the story of how Scooby was trained to become a Hypo Hounds hero who now keeps Sophie safe on a regular basis. With the story written and Veronica Pearman’s beautiful illustrations already complete we were happy to put the pieces together and produce the layout for the book.
With Jane’s idea now brought to fruition we arranged for the printed copies to be produced and delivered. All to be ready in time for The Kennel Club’s Discover Dogs exhibition at the ExCel London.

If you have a manuscript and want to self-publish we can help you through every step of the process. Hopefully this blog and the others on our site will give you an idea of what’s involved, but we are always available to help authors achieve their dream of getting their novel into print.
