Books came to us early in 2019 with an exciting new title, Gloves Off, which had a hard-hitting plot and needed an inventive interior
layout that required a bit more work than most fiction titles.Bella at Guppy was very clear that for this modern day tale she needed the interior layout design to be ‘descriptive’, complementing the content in helping to tell the story.
Using the rough layout in Bella’s Word document we got to work designing each section in the text to visually express the message the author was tying to convey. After some tweaking at the revised proof stage the finished layout was a great success. Proof copies were warmly received by the critics and if the subsequent reviews are anything to go by the book will be a huge success.
